NEW BUILD TRI-CITIES

Program: New Build 

ASP invites volunteers from across the country to serve together with low-income families to build safe, new, replacement homes in the Tri-Cities area of Northeast Tennessee.

Volunteers Skill Level: Moderate to High

Each group must have at least one highly skilled leader. Larger groups may be asked to work on more than one project. We are in need of teams of volunteers, who are able to work independently. Lower skill volunteers are always welcome to assist with basic tasks and assist the crews.

Tasks: Projects will be assigned based on the construction schedule determined by the field staff and may include siding, roofing, insulation, flooring and trim, interior doors, porches and ramps, finishing tasks, cleaning, and/or yard work.

Group Size: Groups of up to 20 may serve at one time.

Accommodations and Meals: Groups will take care of their own accommodations and meals. Staff are happy to offer recommendations.

Local Volunteers: Volunteers within the Tri-Cities area are welcome to volunteer for a day, multiple days, a week at a time, or adopt a whole project.

Transportation: Groups will take care of their own transportation. Each work crew is required to have their own vehicle.

Mission Fee: There is no mission fee to serve with New Build. Groups are welcome to make a donation toward the cost of construction and/or sponsor a home.

Availability: Opportunities are scheduled throughout the year based on project funding, construction schedules, and availability of field staff.

• Complete Previous Involvement page. Upper section if returning. Lower section if new; Then click NEXT
• If new, create your user name and password , then click NEXT
• Enter personal contact information, then CREATE ACCOUNT
• Reserve space for your group - indicate your team size, then CREATE NEW GROUP
• Enter your group information and follow remaining steps to completion.
• Group Code is assigned.
• Receive email confirmation with Group Code, Username, and Password
• Provide Group Code to all team members
